We always have a few clear heads in all of the problems that the club has had
in the past year. Sadly the clear thinkers are not always being listened to.

In light of our Treasurer Bill's email about the problems with the envelope
bar code printing, and the postal service's 'reader' machines; I would like to
suggest that in the future there should be a simple post card with our names on
it, coded and prepaid postage, that would be mailed back to us indicating the
date and time our ballots were received. This could be placed as a tear off or
tucked into the first envelope.
This is only fair, as we never truly know if our votes have even made it to
their destination in the past - we just 'hope' and we never really know if our
votes are among the numbers listed in that final tally.
This way if something goes wrong - again - [and this isn't the first issue with
voting] - we would at least know something.
As for this snafu - what should we do about it? Obviously not all votes will
make it, some members do not have email, and some are on vacation - so, what
now? Leaders? What can you do for us - the little people whose club this is.
