Hi Sharon,
Having the same problem with my 10yr old bitch.? She was spayed about 4 yrs
ago.? Ran a full blood work upon her and it was normal.? She had a UTI and
crystals in her urine.? I was also advised to take her off of raw food.? We put
her on a course of antibiotics and a product called UTI Edge.? It is a powder
form of d-Manosse, same thing in cranberries.? I also give her dried
cranberries and yogurt.? Since we started this, she hasn't had any more
accidents and seems to have less discomfort.? I originally put her on Eagle
Pack Holistic Duck but after the Well Pet bought them out, I switched to
California Naturals.? I would think any Holistic or natural kibble with few
grain products would do the trick.? I was also told that boiled chicken or
cooked ground beef could be added if she was finicky.? She's not so she only
get's that as a special treat :-)

I have had a call from someone who has rescued a female GSD she is approx 2
yrs old
They have had some issues with frequent potty calls and some accidents
I suggested they take her to the vet ( I thought a bladder infection)
She was spayed at 4 months so I also thought that could be the problem
It seems that the urine PH is to high and there are crystals in the urine
The vet wants her off the raw food ( Picky eater and this will not be easy)
Has anyone got any advice? I thought crystals in the urine was a cat thing?
