My thoughts are to have a fecal exam on one of them (since they were together)
to be sure that tylosin would be an effective thing to give. GIT parasites come
in many varieties and antibiotics are specific to one type of organism or
another unless you get into the "tough stuff" that is really actually broad
spectrum (killing both gram positive & negative bacterium)
Bonus is that the stool sample will warrant whatever antibiotics needed get
right from the vet.
I know not what you wanted to hear, but why waste your tylosin if it's not the
thing that would work?
