I may not have much clout on this list as most people don't even read my
posts unlike Evan who always gives it a funny streak.
But I must say that everything Carolyn mentioned is true. I do not have to
defend her, she can do that all on her own, and well.
That said, I do agree with the striking colors she mentioned, but I can also
see that there is still a huge problem with the conformation of the German
dog. OK, so we talk German Shepherds. I cannot for the life of me see a
flawless conformation in the overall picture of one. It just does not fit
together. The first thing I see is that the front does not match with the
back and to me that is an incomplete picture. Yes, the neck is too short -
and then there is this awful roach or banana back. People, please! I have
often thought how in the world can these dogs run a mile or even jump a
hurdle? .And I am wondering: Those beautiful colors, are they really worth
trying to breed this into our line with the knowledge that you end up with
such a back? I would not mind breeding to a German dog providing they have a
straight back. There are some.

I say, Unfortunately most have horrible shoulder
placement, short upper arms, no curve of stifle, and those poor short
necks... All that pounding has to take it's tole on their bodies ... Susie
