Treasure has not been stolen. She is with jClint Livingston right now. Jane
Bates who co owns Treasure called Clint and he said she is just fine. Wrong
Treasure folks!

Maura Phelan is missing five female Golden Retrievers from her home in�Manor,
TX.� Four of the Goldens are between 2-4 years of age and the�fifth is 10
years old. All of the dogs are microchipped. None are�wearing collars. The
dogs were last seen�2/11/09 at�noon.
They were noted to be missing at 12:30 pm, 1/2 hour after they were
last�seen. It is suspected that the dogs might have been stolen. Maura may be
contacted with any information at 512-659-3647.
Here is additional info on the 5 stolen Goldens in Manor, TX. The
dog�"Treasure" is mentioned, she is the Golden that won Breed at the�Garden
and a subsequent Group 2 (to the Sussex who went Best in Show).
Five dogs were apparently stolen from a pen beside�Maura Phelan's barn in
Manor Texas, (Outside Austin).��The dogs all female range in ages from 10
years and spayed, to 3 years.�
They are all microchipped and Avid has been notified. Additionally the dogs
have been reported stolen to local police and sheriff's offices.��A
tracking dog was used�and followed a trail across a�neighbor's property to
a dirt road where it disappeared. The gate in the kennel was apparently kicked
in so hard the latch mechanism turned to the�side. The dogs had only been in
the pen a short while. The man who is�renting the apartment put them out
around noon, then went up to Maura's�
to work on her house.
When his wife returned to the property less that 30 minutes later the open
gate�was discovered. Flyers are posted, utility companies have been called,
neighbors alerted as well as Texas Vets via Maura's Vet, rescue lists, humane
society's.
Please cross post this to as many people and lists as you can and
hopefully�this story will find the girls on their way back home.
For those of you who don't know Maura, she helped found Gold Ribbon Rescue in
Austin, and she and I co-bred Rotten, Treasure's sire. Friday the 10 year old
is his half sister .
