I just got home from our national and first I would like to comment about the
WDA presentation, it was great. During that presentation our President Lew
Bunch went above and beyond the call of duty by being the demo agitatorâ?¦.
what
a trouper.
I've been to many Nationals and I have to say the atmosphere at this National
was one of a fun celebration of our beloved breed. It is a major
undertaking to make an event of this size and complexity a success. To our
Board and
all those who were instrumental in VOLUNTEERING their time and efforts for
this year's national, a hearty Mission Accomplished and huge THANK YOU!
I absolutely loved the tribute to our golden members during the Parade of
Greats along with those special dogs. There were so many special touches.
As
for the dinner it was festive and good fun, with a casino type theme, super
decorations and goodies on all the tables. During dinner along with a couple of
good friends of mine who had just enjoyed their very first national, I had the
pleasure of dining with Carmen Battaglia and his wife Nancy, and got to meet
a new acquaintance from Arizona who was thrilled as he had just bought a
puppy. I also recall when the question was posed to the whole group during
the
dinner - if this was the type of casual affair members would like to see at
upcoming nationals - there was a resounding YES.
Again I would like to thank all those hardworking people who truly pulled off
a successful event. You done goodâ?¦.
