I find that the current breeders and exhibitors feel the breed is in good shape. The dogs and bitches shown at the national are high quality, and each successive generation improves the breed. Each of us has the right to see what we want in the breed. I try to see what is improved and agree with Barbara that we have a way to go. But, I don't know anyone who is breeding to make the breed worse. This seems to be just a two person issue, and I am anxious to get to complaining about next years national, (due to start the second week in January) so I guess it is time to admit that some people disagree with me. It is hard to accept that in my world, but I may be forced to admit it. Life is so much harder than it was when I was younger. You have to admit that the kids today are much smarter and better looking than we were.
