It would ALL be easier if we just had three sites 'set' pretty permanently so
we could all plan
ahead and know which National site the Board had to work on.....and which
National site the
Club members and Exhibitors and handlers could plan for.
Some are going to have to give up hopes of having it really close to
them.....and work really hard
on having it at LEAST a possibility for ALL of us.
Completely on the East Coast makes it extremely difficult for us on the West
Coast..and Completely
on the West Coast makes it extremely difficult for the East Coast. With
flying a dog so difficult
now.....a site that is at least 'drivable' to all is best. It will always be
more of a hardship for those on
the East COAST....and those on the West COAST....so we just ask that it at
least be a "POSSIBILITY"
to get to, at least every couple of years. ( Maine and Tip of Florida have
their own degree of difficulty )
Like Ed.......I SO APPRECIATE that this Board is at least looking into other
sites and trying!! Trying
for already successful sites certainly seems easier and more of a possibility.
I understand the dates at Denver are already booked for three years
ahead....but what about that 4th
year NOW.... just to get a 'rotation' started....since we don't even get a
change from Purina till AFTER
2018. By then, some may not care anyway.....sigh.......

Unless things have changed Utah is a Delta hub, American and United also fly to
Salt Lake, easier for the east coast folks to get there, only a 10 hour drive
for central Calif. I thought the first Utah National was great! ..... Book it

I actually don't understand the problem with finding sites in the West???
We have had three successful sites that worked before.....Albany, Oregon,
Salt Lake City are in Utah and Colorado.
Did those sites get demolished or something? Why not use the same ones instead
of looking for new ones that are unknown......?
At least the Parent Club would know what they are getting into with any of those
three without sending the troops out to investigate and try to work out a 'new'
site?
Ruth has contacted the Parent Club about Albany...with no answers....Connie Malo
looked into the site in Utah and that Org. is ASKING when we are coming
back..........
and I think Patty Korsch has stayed in touch with the people in Colorado at
that site.
With the people at the site in Utah inquiring about our return....maybe they
are
"negotiable".......

I know the Pomona Fair Grounds would work, but I don't know about the costs. I
know Sam Israel worked on it for the Beverly Hills club, maybe he could help.
I also know the Riverside Fair Grounds would work.
I will see if I can figure it out,but we need someone who doesn't work 12 hour
days and seven days a week.
Do we know anyone who is retired who could do this? Maybe someone who used to
be a teacher, and if possible a person who worked as a parole or probation
officer. Then, if they knew how to post to the List, that would be a bonus.
