The whites are not controlling anything
We have no way to know what colour the dogs are owned by our membership
I have stated this previously: The Whites did not ask us to change the
standard. Germany asked
us to look into changing our standard to come one in line with theirs on the
Long Stock Coat. A
committee was formed to look into this. Jimmy Moses stated that it was time to
revisit the
White DQ and this should also be looked into by the committee. A revised
standard was
submitted and you ALL will get a chance to vote on it - whether your dogs are
breed quality,
pink, pets or performance venue animals.
Your Board is not ignoring anything.
When the Board was going to vote on separation of the Whites, all three white
Clubs were
represented (all were members of the GSDCA). The Majority of the white groups
represented at
the meeting DO NOT WANT TO BE ANYTHING but GSDs. They do not wish separation
and did
not request a standard change.
The smaller group that wants to separate, requested a one time separation for
certain WHITE
dogs - not all white dogs. I believe that they should be allowed to leave, and
those that want to
remain GSDs do so.
If the majority of those with WHITE dogs do not want to leave, why should those
that do not have
white dogs tell them they must leave?
