I also took a hit in the market.
I thought I had bought Yoo Hoos, and I got Twinkies. I hate it when that
happens, and the market is no place for someone like me.
These are hard times for many people, as it always has been. Our friends who
have died, lost their great friends, gotten a divorce, or lost a child in a
war. There are always times to endure, and as Nitchtze said, "That which
does not destroy us, will make us stronger."
We have a national to attend. For a few days the problems of the world will
be outside, while we enjoy our friends, our breed, a few great dogs, and many
good ones. We will take a break from politics, the economy, personal worries,
health, and work. We will get to see those we haven't seen for a year, learn
how the days have gone for them, and share with our friends our memories. We
will meet some new best friends, and again see those from our past. We will
share a tear for those who are gone, in public or in private. We will be
tired, happy, joyful, sad and optimistic for the future. We can rejoice that
we
are there, and miss those who didn't make it.
So, take a deep breath. Ignore those who would look for problems, and those
who want to look at the glass half empty. We are headed to Beaumont, with a
full glass, laughs, fun, new friends and more knowledge.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
