In 2006 a $2000 donation came to the club from a popular dog winning
the Peoples Choice award at Eukanuba. It was suppose to support the
fees for that year only.(check the minutes in the August 2006 REVIEW)
A board member said in the future they would see the finances were
replenished to support it staying free....that never happened. So it
was never intended to go beyond that year but did. It was a serious
concern of many of the board members that when something is given
away it would set a precedent...which it did. They only voted in
favor when a guarantor to the fees spoke up. Many years back it used
to be $35, then was taken to $50 until 2006. Until last year it had
been free for that time. While I think that $75 is too much for a
simple presentation, I do believe that the PC's costs must be covered
during these serious financial times.
Would like to see it go back to the original $50. Molly
