Hi Carolyn, et al,
Well, my son never made it out.
Talking about being prepared! Houston was not, seems it is not better than
New Orleans.
People hit the hiways and they were packed. My son tried several times and
could not even get on it. It took them forever to open up the other side of
the hiway to be used going out. He has now taken refuge with his family in
their church, which is a metal building and they hope it can take the
onslaught better. But heaven help them if it folds! My son described the
highways as huge parking lots. Rather than being helped they pass out food
and water to those stuck on the Hiway.
Lee Brown chose to stay as well as he already told you. Cell phones might
not work much longer and that is basically all the communication I have
with with Marti and his family.
Being worried is an understatement.
