I have so enjoyed this thread. I went and dug out the story of my 'GSDCA Hero

Having the personal experience of being with loved ones human, dogs
and horses know someone comes and greets them before they passed away.
The Spirit never dies and I know Guardian Angels are watching over us
whether it might be a dog, horse, human that was part of my life. I am never
left alone
as I feel or see my loved ones in time of need. My dogs and horses have
come back to me through my other animals in personality but to guide them.
As I have seen, felt their presence, heard them I know they
are there in time of need. When the time is near and I am going to
lose someone you do see signs if you look for them. Sometimes it
can be delayed for a time if you pray hard enough.
I believe each and everyone of us were created as an individual but when
we lose a loved one we always look to find a animal or human of what we lost
to replace them. We will never know all the answers until the end of time so
just have to do the best we can now.
