We should all pay attention to Stormy and support her in any
way she asks....ie. signatures, letters, calls, etc.
She has been in this HUGE trench for a LONG TIME and stays on
top of the "Bad Dog Bills" in a way none of us can... or will.
You may think you will not be affected by some of these because
it is another State....but you will in time. These groups are
motivated by fanatical 'false righteousness' and has 'feel good'
financial support that seems unending.

I can tell you from many, many attempts, that the constitutional argument
never flies. We have tried it in CA, I know that others have tried it
across the country.
One of the things that we are told when we want to consider an ordinance, an
amendment to an ordinance, or a state bill, is - BEWARE. BEWARE of what
happens to an idea after it gets in the hands of the staff (you never know
what is lurking behind the minds of .. ), or an outside organization that
influences the staff or the politician. If you present an idea to a group
of politicians, make sure that you are aware of all the unintended
consequences of your presentation.
Some person shouted out at a large meeting in L.A. city that the city
shouldn't propose a mandatory s/n on certain breeds. if they are going to do
it, they should MSN ALL breeds. Guess what happened?
Somebody decided they were going to get a group (and a LOT of $$ from
members) and sue L.A. city after that!. On constitutional grounds. The
city is now using the loss of that lawsuit as grounds to restrict breeding
completely.
I and others who have been in this "war" (and it is a war), have learned to
pass all of our suggestions, ideas, thoughts past AKC GR staff analysts for
those dreaded unintended consequences.
