As I understand it, the conditional class can be defined for whatever the
breed
club wants to emphasize? Maybe the requirements should be changed for
dogs that have the PC Health Certificates. I think it would be worthwhile to
showcase dogs that are not only OFA hips and elbows, but also good on
thyroid, pacreatic function, heart, etc. Structure can be seen, but we don't
always know which dogs in the specials class have been tested clear of
many problems our breed suffers from. Since so many of us at the National
are "shopping for bloodlines" to breed into, it would be great to showcase
those
quality animals whose owners have had more than the usual health tests
run on them.

Excellent that is for exactly the same thing on dogs that go Select......it
almost
seems to minimize it when it is also made just a Class......?? I sure
don't get it!
Seems an obvious choice if we really do want to streamline the National.
