I saw a news story this am that got me thinking. It seems that the soda, Sprite, has shown to increase the absortion of certain cancer meds. It works with the stomach acid to break down the drug so the body can more readily absorb it. This made me wonder if Sprite could be given to EPI dogs to help them absorb the nutrients they so need from food, as they don't have the pancreatic enzymes to help out. Now, I just need to figure out how to get Maggie to drink Sprite :-) Just something to think about.
