When I wanted to join, I just filled in the application and sent it
in. (I did write a longer essay than most applicants, I think, trying
to justify my interest and vouch for my intent to be a positive, not a
negative, on the list.) Margery Golant sent me a very nice welcome
letter, and said that since she was one of the Admins & was processing
my application, she would be my sponsor. I don't think she's gotten any
complaints about me ... which doesn't mean that one of you needs to go
rushing to make one up!!
