[ SHOWGSD-L ] Special Weekend Brags....

What an eventful past week it has been....
Last Friday, Joan's funeral was attended by her wonderful family and many great
dog people. Some of us then made our way to Allentown, PA for the York/Lehigh
Specialties. Friday nights journey was at best nerve-wracking as we drove
through the mountains & highways covered with snow & ice, passing semi's
wrapped around each other, one on fire after crashing and several cars on the
side of the road. We took our time and all made it safely.
Saturday, there was a judge change due to the weather and we showed under Mr.
Ed Barritt. In his extra-special debut, Cade of Fran-Jo won the 12-18 male
class. Nick & I brought Cade home from Fran & Joan's about 2 weeks ago and in
that short time period, Cade has started to become a remarkable dog. We call
him Mr. Happy because he is just so sweet and loves everything. I am certain
Cade will continue to make Joan very proud. Thank you Fran for allowing us to
be part of such an exciting young male. Cade is sired by:
Sel Ch Jake of Fran-Jo Anne-Isle & out of Sue of Fran-Jo.
Additional special wins came from Bee Gee's Special Angel v Franken who is out
Ch. Almar's Nubian Prince - Cooper, who recently went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Angel won the 12-18 bitch class both days and on Sunday went Best in Sweeps
under Sheree Moses.
Everyone is back home safely from PA, although very tired.
