David, I understand your loss, and grieve for you. Back in 1988 Tindrock
Shepherds had our kennel burn to the ground. We lost our 1 year old beautiful
male dog, who had just placed 2nd in the 9-12 class at the national. We also
lost his full older sister, who had just started showing, and had just won a
BOB. It was terrible. We immediately rebuilt, and fully insulated the
kennel, rather than having a wood stove. It was horrific. I am still not
over
it. We had to start over with new bloodlines. About 3 years later, we got a
young bitch who won Best Puppy at the National in '92 and then went select
in '93. She got her ROM, and we are still enjoying success with her
grandchildren. That bitch was Sel. Ch. Tournaline Kena Ken-Delaine, ROM, OFA,
TC.
So you can start over, and you should. My thoughts are with you. -Cheryl
