No...basically most of us on this List are not dictated by the
Germans "choices."
But we ARE talking about the actual A.K.C. STANDARD here.....?
I don't know of any specific 'COUNTRY' that deliberately breeds
against a "preference"..."not desirable"..."Fault"..."Serious Fault"
or Disqualification of any Breed Standard???
....AND.... asks to have the STANDARD bar lowered to THEIR preference!?
....AND.... is heard and heeded by their Parent Club Board!
I'm sure any other Country is watching this play out with humor....<G>
ESPECIALLY when it is STARTING at our NATIONAL!

We can also say, the Germans do NOT want the angulation seen in the American
bred German Shepherds - The Germans want the German type. The Germans do not

So, what does this all mean? NOTHING. We live in America. If we are going
to use the German this, and the German that, we need to start doing things the
German way..... or, not. You can't, realistically, use parts of the German's
breed philosophy, and ignore the parts we don't like.
That goes for the whole breed standard, not just parts.
And, if white was so bad, why didn't the founder breed it out of the breed, at
the beginning?
If he had, we would not be having this discussion today.

I think that is the POINT. The Germans don't want the
whites associated with The German Shepherd Dog!
They have NO PROBLEM with it separating into a new
Breed...a new Breed that goes by another name such as
"Berger Blanc Suisse"....but DEFINITELY not utilizing
the name "The German Shepherd Dog"...NOR does AKC.
Also..
Of course American's don't want them competing in an
AKC show. They are a D.Q.! Isn't that the POINT
of a D.Q.???
I think "History" is MAINTAINING....<G>
Again....it is just so simple.

What is really interesting is the Germans never really accepted the white GSD
as they stopped registering them years ago as I find through the guidance of
Max Emil Friedrich von Stephanitz. Today Germany accepts the white dog by a
different name Swiss White Shepherd “Berger Blanc Suisse”.
However, America continues to fight the war of not allowing them to complete
at the AKC Conformation Shows.
This was decided years ago by the members of GSDCA so history is repeating
itself here again and will probably have the same outcome time will tell.
