A bitch, 3 weeks postpartum, *suddenly* presents with severe stiffness in rear legs along with a stumbling gait and a slightly elevated temp. She was taken to the emergency Vet and a complete blood count and chem-12 were run. Absolutely no abnormalities. X-rays were taken of her torso and rear. Once again, no abnormalities noted. I thought about tick paralysis, but no ticks were found on her. (Of course, the tick could have fallen off.) Tomorrow, she's going to our regular vet to have a tick panel run to test for Lymes and other tick-borne diseases. We are VERY worried about our girl and are wondering if any of you have seen something like this. Thanks in advance for any help/information you can give us.
