As a beautiful day was had by all here at Schatten Shepherds with friends
and family, it unfortunatly ended very sad.

At midnite I held my sweet Abby in my arms to bid her good bye. She too had
a great day and I know she was thankful for everything. I watched her play
with her kong and chew on her nyla bone and lay in the sun as happy as can be.

But as I put her to bed last night with the other dogs I noticed her
extended stomach. I knew what it was and immediately and called the ER. My
daughter and I made the final drive with Abby to Rohnert Park. She insisted
on
walking in, got weighed and proceeded to the examining room. She made it to
the
carpet and there she collapsed. She knew is was time, as I. So at midnite,
my sweet Abby made her journey to meet up once again with her half sister,
Ch. Tempo and her breeder Lorraine Schowalter. Abby was almost 10 years old.

Rest in Peace, My Abby.
