[ SHOWGSD-L ] Sad News - Alan Stone

As Diane Piagentini shared earlier, we just received news that Alan Stone
has passed away last night. I cannot imagine a dog show on the East Coast
without his presence. Alan was a successful handler, breeder and respected
judge
of German Shepherd Dogs for over fifty years. When I first started in the
breed, he was handling Sel. Ch Rex Edlu Mibach, one of the most well known
sons of Ch Bernd v Kallengarten. Over the years, he produced a number of
winning dogs under the kennel name Janal. And Alan was the back bone of the
German
Shepherd Dog Club of Long Island. He, truly and sincerely, loved the
breed. We are very sad, indeed.
