[ SHOWGSD-L ] SPIDER....?!

Spider in the garage where puppies are - it was probably about 3" across,
looked to be light grey banded, kind of spindly legs (not thick) with a longer
body on the thinner side. Tried to kill it but missed - three times - it was
FAST!! I'm worried about the puppies getting bitten - I live in south eastern
South Dakota - anyone have any idea as to whether or not this is a threat? Any
help would be appreciated!!
