My sentiments, exactly. Don't even talk to them...send a certified
check in a registered letter with return receipt requested, a certified
check in it. Don't accuse them of anything...just say in the letter
that after seeing the conditions in which you found your puppy, you have
decided it is not the puppy for them. If you didn't have a written
contract, that ought to be OK....nobody can make you sell them a dog.
They did let you take the puppy out of there, so if you return their
money they shouldn't have any recourse.
I'm not Evan, but that's what I'd do.
