From the AKC Guidelines for dog show judges....
pg 10 -- Double Handling --Evaluate dogs solely on their appearance without
regard to outside influence such as double handling. Double handling can
usually be eliminated if you simply announce to ringside that you will not
tolerate the practice. Excuse any dog from competition if you believe someone
or
something is influencing its performance or showmanship other than the dog's
handler in the ring. If there are unnecessary disturbances outside your
ring, you may call for the Show Chairman.
