In the Standard a level or overshot bite is listed as undesirable. A missing tooth other than a first premolar is a serious fault. 100% of the replies that I received considered a missing tooth as the lesser of two evils. Therefore this would appear that undesirable is more serious than "serious". I personally think an undesirable condition is more acceptable than a serious fault. But in reality, from the experiences of owners with bite problems, a bite problem in more of a health problem than a missing tooth. Does this mean that this section of the Standard needs to be rewritten?? I am not going to touch that one with a ten foot Pole or even a 5 foot 7 inch Cajun.
