The lights grew dim in the room as the pictures reflected from the screen,
through my eyes and into my mind. Then I was crying. The plot thickened so
quickly that I hardly knew what was happening and the confusion grew to the
point of breaking my heart, even though I was not involved in the plot. It

whole. Although my ballots just arrived, possibly I should just put them in
the trash and not participate any longer. Those were my thoughts.
Then more emotions.. I can be a very emotional person you see. Anger! Yes,
anger at those who would be so self focused as to tear apart our club and
use it as a means of self justification. How in the world did our times of
service, yes you know, as in being a servant to others - our club and our
purpose, the dogs - how did that become a place where personal
aggrandizement became the objective? How is it that.
And now the anger changes to pity. I have seen the consequences of vendetta,
the results of anger personified and justice demanded. The destruction is
always worse on those who pursue it, always! I am so sorry that the
intricacies of our life together results in such pain when it should be
about our pleasure with our dogs. That is the great tragedy of human
arrogance: That what we fight against becomes our purpose and our life and
it overwhelms us in its destructive nature. Sometimes it is far better to
not win, but to walk away and allow peace to overwhelm us and work for us.
So, I shall open my ballot and possible there is someone there who is not
involved with any of this at all and possibly they can remain above it for
a couple of years, long enough to lead us out of it and back to dogs!
