We had Monty and Rags in for their yearly check-up and shots and I am
$284.00 poorer. I know this clinic hires too many people and has all the
up-to-date equipment but .....
I'm wondering what others pay. The bill breakdown was:
Office Visit - $42.40
Bordetella - 1 yr - $20.80
DHP - 3 yr - $20.80
Lepto - 1 yr - $20.80
Rabies 3 yr - $25.35

I work at a vet and here is the breakdown of what we charge:
Yearly Wellness exam $27.30 (a "non-routine exam" for other issues is
$41.00, which of course usually takes more of the Dr's time)
DHP-PV (covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) $23.40
Rabies $15.20
Bordetella $16.40
Fecal $14.30
Heartworm test $29.90
eye medicine - basic antibiotic ointment -- usually about $10
we do not charge biohazard waste.
We've compared our prices of Heartguard and Frontline and we are cheaper
than PetMedsExpress.....our vet tries to keep costs down as much as
possible....so I am a lucky girl - not to mention I work there and get
employee rates! *grin*
