If you have hopes of breeding her at some point, a bitch having 2 seasons by 11
months, IF the first season was a "real" season and not a split heat,
well.....that would concern me.
Every time a gal comes in season her body responds as if she is bred,
bombarding her uterus w/ hormones and thickening the uterine lining making it
that much harder for an embryo to attach when she actually IS bred.
So IF she is to be a part of your program later, I would carefully document
everything and I would seek out a knowledgeable reproduction vet and discuss
your concerns. (Note "repro" vet!) You might want her on cheque drops to
prevent her from cycling and spare her uterus.

I have a just 11 month old bitch I want to show when she matures a little bit
more....BUT Pixie has come into heat TWO times and is currently in heat for her
second time! Her first heat was very mild and brief which I've seen before.
This one is a full heat and I've never had a girl come in so early!? Should I
be concerned and take her to the Vet? Or is this normal!? Thank you in
advance!! Angela Scott
