This happens every year Tiff. The host hotel in Colorado was sold out at
the April board meeting in Houston the same year. Many get wind of which
hotel it is and block off several rooms, only to be released months later.
I will say, the Holiday Inn at Springfield is not a large HI by any means,
and when I checked for the Aussie people they said they would only commit
around 60 rooms to any function. Not sure if the show chair has convinced
them to commit more or not. So if that were the amount of rooms, I could
see how they would go very quickly. Perhaps a message to the show chair Bill
Burgraff would be in order.
