In the days following the Mid West Futurity/Maturity weekend May 14-16
there will be mnay posts from people who have shown dogs on the new surface
that Purina is installing in the building. It is the same surface that is
being used for tthis weekend of shows. I'm sure the good the bad (if any)
and the ugly wil;l all be disgussed>
Like I said before club memebers have worked dogs on this surface and all LOVED
it
as did the dogs.

I do think it should be considered as a central location. The location is every
ther year. Purina is a good sponser. Topeka should give the parent club a good

I just received my Purina "Today's Breeder" magazine, and it has a great

he Golden Retriever Club of America plans to hold their 2012 National Specialty
t the new facility. (a weeklong event just like ours) Their last National

ow believe me, Topeka is a lot closer to me than St. Louis, but there are
everal reasons I think our organization should look long at hard considering
his wonderful opportunity. First and foremost, this facility is build with with
ne thing in mind, DOGS!!!! Not horse competitions, cattle shows or other
ivestock venues, but dogs. How much better can this get????? Second, Purina
as been a HUGE sponsor for our organization for years. I kind of scratch my
ead when something seems so obvious and is not being considered. Is it not
eing able to see the forest for the trees?
'm not trying to be disrespectful here, I'm just really tyring to make sense
ut of it. It's like the big corporations that loose sight of the real issues
t hand. Hopefully our board is planning on at least considering this awesome
acility and we just don't know it's in the plans. If they are not, I hope
here are board members that are reading these posts and will reconsider.
