I'd just give the $1,000 back, undo any AKC paperwork that was done and be
finished w/ it.

I'm with Kathy. Giving the money back wipes the slate clean. That way there
wouldn't be anything owed later, meaning another puppy at another time. (I
know that I wouldn't want her to have one of MY dogs.) The woman (buyer)seems
"a little off" anyway, no?
