Does anyone living in one of the really cold areas use a propane furnace to heat their home? Our house is about 2700 sq ft. Last week we put in a 'high efficiency' propane to the tune of $4000, and have used 200 lbs of fuel in about 5 days.... That would be about 1600 lbs/month, running around $1200. This strikes me as completely ridiculous. We changed over as it was supposed to be more efficient and cost effective! I'm about ready to tell them to pull it out and put my oil back in... Of course private replies are probably most appropriate.
