Thank you to everyone that responded to me as quickly as you did. I do not have the bag that the food came in because I put it in my Pro Plan bin. So I cannot return it to the store. I will throw it out because I do not trust it and would be extremely upset if my puppy got sick because of it. I will buy more this weekend and open the bag while I am in the store! I did send Purina a really nice e-mail explaining the situation and reminded them that I buy about 100 bags of their food a year. I am sure that they will get back to me because I know that they really do care about the health and safety of the dogs and cats who eat their food.
