If I had planned to go, I would be back home now anyway. Mom needs me. I am too busy to pity myself at not being at any dog show. And from where I am sitting, in 80 degrees and sun, I could not possibly be missing cold. So all of you sitting home or at work fussing cause you can't be in colder weather, think warm, think Florida in December, January and February. There are great shows coming in this state, starting with Ft Myers, Dec 1 and 2, with Ms Troki and Phil Miller judging, then in January, there are the 6 specialties in Orlando, for the clubs of Orlando, North Florida and the Treasure Coast. Following them several of the all breeds in the January Circuit have some great judges, Dick Jones and Amy Safir to begin with, and there are some others but I have not done all the research yet. Finally, in February, I will be secretary-ing for both Miami and Ft Lauderdale clubs. We have 2 provisional judges who need our support and have been well known breeders for some time, Mr Sedgewick and Mr. Orlowski, and Dan Dwier and Bob Eaton as well. So start making your plans, chances are good you will see everyone who was at the National that lives within 1500 miles of Miami, and that covers a lot more ground than you realize. Big shows, great weather, and 3 great chances to enjoy Florida in the winter, when it is best enjoyed!!!! sheila Jessica MacMillan <spotted101@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: So, I woke up at 4:45 this morning after getting to bed at 10:30 pm... Still cloudy, still cold, BUT for the moment it isn't raining.... We took two young prospects to training class last night - ran behind by about 45 minutes, drove through fog and rain and prayed the deer would stay on their side of the landscape. Got to training class, got to see medals won by my friend's son at the Special Olympics Summer Games (too cool) and trained our young hopefuls for about 15 - 20 minutes a piece... Sucked one of the instructors who is a photographer into shooting some film of my young bitch (photos to come this afternoon).. So now I am back at work - two bowls of Coco Pebbles, a glass of juice and a lot of coffee later. Tonite..................... enchiladas and some VINO to drain my sorrows of not being at the National, ALTHOUGH we discuss finding a cheap flight to Denver to watch specials.. I keep reminding myself - next year I will be going to TWO Nationals :-) Jess Mac (Pity Party Queen) Paisley Dals (www.paisleydals.com) & The Shepherd Girls --------------------------------- Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell. --------------------------------- Shape Yahoo! in your own image.
