[ SHOWGSD-L ] Pandas revisited

I was thumbing through The German Shepherd Dog in Word & Picture and came
across pictures of two dogs from the Brunswick area that appear to be blue
merls. Please see figures 107 & 108. If dogs of this type are a part of the
GSD gene pool might that not be where the pandas come from?
