Also, for whatever it's worth, I don't believe Alicia
breeds panda shepherds. Some of our mutual friends from
AWSA do. But Alicia shows and breeds White shepherds and
German shepherds. The page in question on her site merely
points out all the different varieties of color and coat
patterns and lengths seen in GSDs and shepherd-type dogs.
I really fail to see how this could be construed by anyone
as "promoting" these things. IMO, the page is there for
information and educational purposes only... similar to
John Ayotte's wonderful page. Not once are any of the
photos labeled "look at this ugly dog" or anything like
that. These colors exist. They may not be correct, but
that is no reason to crucify anyone for pointing out the
fact that they are there. Some of us even find them
interesting. And yes... that includes the panda color.
Guess that's all I have to say on this subject. I have as
thick a skin as anyone but, honestly, the constant
negativity displayed toward other dog people in our
sport by SOME folks here absolutely sucks! Whatever
happened to "encourage, not discourage"?? :/
