A friend's year old GSD has been diagnosed with Pancreatitis. 7 pups in the litter and 5 have it. The following is what's happening now. "Her enzyme level is much lower than I expected and the vet was shocked...it was at 1.1! She's on the Viokase powder that is mixed into her food 20 minutes before I give it to her. I'm changing her food but haven't decided which one I'm changing her to yet. She needs to be on a good low fat food. She hasn't started having any of the other problems yet, so she's not on antibiotics or the tagament types of things and they didn't need to put her on prednisone which is used in advanced cases often for a short period." What foods should she be feeding her girl? And anything else I can pass along to her? Thanks for any help!!! Colleen Donnelly The only way to understand & estimate the nature of the dog is to study his whole development. Such a task requires a sympathetic, dog-loving observer, who tries as far as possible to enter into the innermost mind of the dog, and who will know how to short-circuit all his purely human points of view. --Max von Stephanitz --------------------------------- Post your free ad now!
