I remember, because we had the honor a couple of times.
It is the German Shepherd Dog Club of San Diego county who awarded the BOB
dog or bitch the Trophy and the title of Pacific Coast Victor or Victrix.
(no I'm not THAT old, but I did do some research for an article on special
trophies once)
In the early years the ladies of San Miguel, and other on the West coast
could only get to the National by train. So they established the Pacific
Coast Victor and Victrix trophies.
Arelee GSD had 3 who won that title:; CH. Arelee's Woodstock CD, CH.
Arelee's Scarlet Tanager, CD. and CH. Arelee's Spellbound. Sweet memories.
Both Woodstock and Scarlet Tanager were HS Champion at the Nationals.
Spellbound was RWB form the 9-12 class at the National.
Scarlet Tanager aka Go-Go was co-owned with Jean Lallensack and Sharon
Buckley.
