Had a thirty-something couple here today with thier 4 year old son to see puppies. The little boy wouldn't come in and see the puppies because he wanted to pick up and throw stones in the parking lot next door. The parents looked at me and said: "well, I guess he's not ready for a dog yet" I was dumbfounded. Since when do 4 year olds make such important decisions? I told them, " No, YOU are not ready for a dog". Then they let the 4 year old stand in the parking lot and throw stones until he tired of it. ( Not towards the car, honey). No, if they can't train a child, they sure couldn't train a puppy. People!! SueT ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
