[ SHOWGSD-L ] Owner Handler brags & AKC has sucked me in!

I had a pretty darn good weekend with my local, owner handled boy. I finished
Louie (CH Traka's Louis Vuitton, OFA h & e) in June, and decided to enter him
as a special in the Prairieland Classic dog show in Springfield, IL, since it
was in my backyard.
Call me a rookie, but I forgot all about the new AKC Grand Champion title. I
just wanted to show my dog simply for the fun of it.
Well, Friday, Saturday and Monday under judges James White, Paul Thomann and
Kimberly Anne Meredith-Cavanna respectively, Louie was awarded the select
title for 2 points each day. But the best part was Sunday, under Prof.
Douglas Taylor, Louie went Best of Breed over 5 other specials, then went on to
win a Group 4, all owner handled by yours truly!!! This gave Louie a 5 point
major for his Grand Champion title.
I had no idea of pursuing this title, but after this weekend, you win AKC,
you've sucked me in for more dog show entries so I can get a Grand Champion
title on my Louie.
