[ SHOWGSD-L ] Our Friend John

Oh - what a sad year we have had. And now John has gone to party with those
who have passed before him. I feel a personal loss. As a former co-chair of
the P&P committee, John would call me when he wanted to know EXACTLY what
the P&P said about a particular topic. We didn't always agree on what was
the right thing to do - but I always respected John for his passion for the
GSD breed, for his dedication to the GSD, and for his contributions -
especially with Reno who was my first favorite GSD when I was a clueless
newbie in the late 70s/early 80s. I think I chose well for my first icon of
the breed.
As someone else posted - John is reuinted with Reno as we speak and that is
a thing of joy. We should not focus on our loss but celebrate his life and
how our love will keep him alive in our hearts. Bye for now, John - we will
be chatting with you later when our time has come. But, until then we will
miss you.
