White is not a fault on a bi-color. Some people do not want to see white on a
German Shepherd at all. But it is not a fault. The only time that it matters is
when the whole dog is white or you get a judge that does not want white on a
dog anywhere. I just checked every dog in my house. They all have some form of
white on their chest. The only one that does not is Nichole, one of my solid
black ones. In fact now I am thinking because I have four solid black dogs. We
have a 100 lb. black male who has a big white spot on his chest which I do not
care for. I think that when you look at this giant of a dog his white chest is
distracting but it is not a fault
