May I make a suggestion that while looking for a west coast site for 2018 is
it? That we also find out what year they DO have open and book it!!!! We need
to start booking these years out not months.

Indeed the sites are being looked into. Gail is hard at work.
We have hit a dead end in Salt Lake City. Unable to get anyone to respond to
phone calls or emails regarding Herding. No AKC Herding clubs exist in Utah;
so we are reaching out to facilities that hold stock dog trials. We have all
the other information, down to hotels, tracking, equipment, and Legacy
Center.
We have asked The Herding Chair for help in finding a solution in Salt Lake
City, fingers crossed somebody responds to her!
Denver is being looked at as well.
My Mom has been helping along with others. She has reached out to Ruth.
Really we are putting the effort into finding locations. The first being
West.

I don't know when that started......but "AGAIN"......if the Club would just
pick three permanent sites that worked
for three portions of the Country....it would sure safe a lot of problems
and expenses always looking for a "new"
one.
I know Ruth Schuebler has looked into the Albany, Oregon site and given the
info to the Board or National Chair ...as has
Connie Malo for the Utah site....and I think Patty Korsch looked into
Denver site again to try to be of some help. I don't
"think" any of these three sites have been sought out after or even looked
into for all their efforts?
I could eat a dozen cinnamon rolls every time I think of our National
sites..........or National SITE! <G>
