[ SHOWGSD-L ] OT - air mattresses--back pain--??

Hello,
thought I would ask the all knowing list--since probably many of you have air 
mattresses to use when you go camping or to weekend dog shows or something-I am 
in need of a decent air mattress to use as a bed for me.  I have VERY bad back 
problems  (arthritis in lower spine and severly compressed discs) and am in 
constant pain and a friend suggested using an air mattress.  Problem is-looking 
on line- I dont know anything about them and the prices are so different-and I 
need one that will hold me (I am not skinny) and be comfortable for my back-and 
I do NOT have  lot of money to spend.  Like--under $100 would be good???  I 
have an old 3/4 bed that I sleep on now and it is the only size that will fit 
in my bedroom.  A single or a twin is too small for me and my doggie to snuggle 
on and a double or full size, that I would like to use, wont fit in my bedroom. 
 
And-to make this doggie related--I need to be able to walk and take care of my 
dogs--so I need to not be in so much pain all the time.  So I need a good 
mattress to sleep on .
