I'm not so sure that Birdy would have won; Rachel probably has another gear,
and Calvin did say that she wasn't handling the track well, which sounds to me
like she DID have more, much more, to give. The time for the race wasn't very
impressive and it is obvious that she can, and has, gone faster. JMHO.

I agree! He was closing on her as if she were standing still. The Belmont is
a longer race. Lets see what happens there. . .
