Put that $45,000.00 in the Parent Club treasury.....and we can 'officially'
be a viable enough club to
move out of St. Louis to allow more members to participate in the National
without facing a three day
drive. <G>
If not....you'll have to start a 'play it back' to pay the membership dues for
a few West Coasters. <G>
OR...... we could have another 'Washington debate' like Evan mentioned...and
make St. Louis an
illegal site. Obviously 'no news' is making a few of us a little 'balmy'
.... 'Always Dreaming'.....wondering
where will it be........

I Read somewhere, " the love of money is the root of all evil"..... Always
Dreaming is running today in the second leg of the "triple crown"..... speaking
of love , I love horses, my wonderful wife bought me one about 20 years
ago.....the learning curve was too large( I was afraid of him) so I sold him to
my brother..... any news about where the 2019 National will be? Ms Martello
mentioned we already have established sites in Utah, Denver, and Oregon.....
hope we don't wait too late or we'll end up in St LOUIS AND Penny will have to
pay my membership dues again! I made a bet on the Derby two weeks ago for Zoe
when I was in Vegas! Well her horse lost and she owes me big money! Her bet
was $ 1.00, but with three weeks interest she now owes me
$45,000.00 bucks! lol FB

Back in the days of the founding of the country growing hemp was not only
important but at times mandated as it was needed for ropes, sails, etc. And of
course paper making and anything else that needed fiber pulp and had to be
replaced with more expensive wood pulp. Like so many other things, a good
useful product was replaced because someone with money wanted to make more
money.

Also, Phoenix news, just the other day, mentioned that farmers are now going
to be able to grow
“hemp”, which is not marijuana.. The news article said it was used to make
rope, building materials and other stuff.. I do not think that farmers would be
able to grow it all of a sudden if the stuff contained a mood altering drug ..
Check it out! It is quite interesting. Hope this all makes sense!!
Because I am in the business I am in, I was privy to the transcript in congress
as to when and why marijuana became illegal. It may surprise some of you.
It seems that there was a man called William Randolph Hurst. He owned a number
of newspapers and had forests that he used to manufacture his pulp for the
paper he printed on.
When it became clear that some growers could grow hemp and make paper much
cheaper, Mr. Hurst petitioned congress, (he seemed to have a lot of money), to
make hemp growth illegal. The debate in Washington is but three pages long.
Now, you know.
If you want to know why cocaine is illegal, that story is even more interesting.
