[ SHOWGSD-L ] New Event Option -PERMISSION TO CROSS POST

As many of you noticed about a year ago, GSDCA.org changed itâ??s events search 
to one that links to AKC.org.  This means that as soon as a Club applies for an 
event, it appears in the search, even before itâ??s approved.  We felt this 
would give the GSD community a better, more accurate search capability for 
upcoming shows.

The AKC search now is very powerful, allowing date and state filtering as well 
as searching by event type (conformation, tracking, performance, etc.)

The one thing people kept asking for was to be able to filter for Specialty 
shows.  ITâ??S HERE!  Thanks to Dr. Charles Kneifel and his programming staff 
at the AKC, that option has been added under the â??Conformationâ?? tab!  The 
link to Events Search can be found on GSDCA.org under the â??Eventsâ?? menu 
(â??Search for Eventsâ??) or by clicking on the link on the home page under the 
â??Quick Linksâ?? box. 

Click on the â??Conformationâ?? tab and then click on the line of blue text 
that reads â??View Additional Search Optionsâ?? followed by a blue arrow.  That 
will open a new area with options to include shows with Junior Showmanship (yes 
or no), a time frame of 3, 6, or 12 months, and whether to include only â??All 
Breedâ?? shows, â??Specialtyâ?? shows, or â??Bothâ??.
