[ SHOWGSD-L ] New Champion MillerTime's The American Way!

What a great weekend we had in Suffern, NY. Just about everything went
wrong as we were packing up the RV to leave on Friday, we really started to
wonder if we should even be leaving but.. the show goes on and we were off.
On Sat at the Rockland County KC under judge Robert Caswell "Toby" got
WD, BOW, and BOS over Specials!!! For his last major!! We are so thrilled to
announce that Toby is now Champion MillerTime's The American Way OFA. Toby is
the
proud son of AOE Select Ch Sirius Park Worth The Trip and my MillerTime's
American Girl (Ch Bonnie Dune and Ch Schokrest San Diego). Toby was bred and is
owned by Craig and I.
Toby won his first 2 points (one dog shy of a major) and Puppy Herding
Group 1 the first weekend he was shown, owner handled at 6 mos old. What an
unexpected win that was under judge JD Jones. At just under 2 years old just as
we
were getting him ready for his Maturity we found out he had Lyme Disease. He
had a change in personality, he went from such a happy dog to a sad dog a very
noticeable change in personality. I had read an article so off to the vets
for a Lyme test, Such enough It was Lyme. Hopefully we had caught it early. I
had never even found one tick on him. At this time I was not sure that Toby
would ever be able to be shown again. We took it really slow with him treating
him
for the Lyme and letting him just learn to enjoy life again, little by little
his happy personality came back. We started showing Toby again in Sept 05 and
he won most of his points over just one week of showing. The most important
thing for me now is to watch how happy Toby is in the ring he loves to show.
Toby has been shown at Specialties and All Breeds He got his first major at
the SNHGSDC in Sept. under Specialty judge Al Engleman.
Toby is shown by Fred Freeman. Thank you so much Fred and Annette for
making this all possible!! We could not have done it without you guys!!
